Cassidy Abbott Catron is a nationally board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice, recognized globally as a World Top Healthcare Provider by the International Nurses Association. With over 20 years of experience, she brings unmatched clinical depth, leadership, and innovation to every patient and organization she serves.
Cassidy’s academic foundation includes behavioral health research at Yale University, and her clinical scope spans pediatrics to geriatrics with bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. She is affiliated with multiple leading institutions and has consistently delivered high-acuity care across hospitalist, neurology, orthopedic, trauma, oncology, cardiology, and critical care services—including ECMO, TBI, and advanced CT imaging interpretation.
As Lead Advanced Provider Hospitalist at Duke University–affiliated Jackson Purchase Medical Center, she oversees inpatient care for cardiology, neurology, ICU, and orthopedic teams. Cassidy is also a trusted leader in post-acute and comfort care programs and coordinates specialty diagnostics and surgical services for patients with complex needs.
Her prior roles include serving as Lead Advanced Provider at NeuroMedical Institute and Weems Medical Center, where she managed both clinic and hospitalist operations in rural and high-volume settings. She excels in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of physical and psychiatric conditions—from trauma-level emergencies to chronic disease management and post-Baker Act care.
Cassidy also serves as an Independent Scientific Research Consultant and Medical Science Liaison, acting as a scientific voice across therapeutic areas including diabetes, neuroscience, and cardiology. She has led cross-functional teams to support clinical adoption of diagnostic tools such as the i-STAT TBI test, presented research across disciplines, and helped drive product strategies and education in regional IDNs, global sales, and C-suite environments.
