Meet Kristy McCoy, PA-C Physician Assistant
Kristy McCoy, PA-C, RN, brings more than thirty years of combined medical experience to her role as a Physician Assistant and Registered Nurse. Her extensive background spans pain management, primary care, urgent care, orthopedic care, and perioperative services, allowing her to provide thoughtful, comprehensive, and patient-centered care.
Kristy has significant experience in both acute and chronic pain management, including medication management, fluoroscopy-guided joint injections, trigger point injections, knee and shoulder injections, regenerative medicine therapies, ketamine infusions, and esketamine administration. She has also treated patients with neuropathy and osteoarthritis and has provided pain care for personal injury cases.
In addition to her advanced practice experience, Kristy has worked as a Registered Nurse in hospital operating rooms, pre-operative and recovery units, home infusion services, telemetry, medical surgical units, public health settings, and pediatric home health. This dual licensure gives her a unique clinical perspective that enhances patient safety, continuity of care, and overall treatment outcomes.
Kristy earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and maintains active PA and RN licenses, along with BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications.
Known for her thorough documentation, strong communication skills, and compassionate approach, Kristy is dedicated to developing individualized treatment plans focused on improving function, reducing pain, and enhancing quality of life for every patient.
