Meet Ying Frappolli, RPA-C, MPAS - Physician Assistant
Ying Frapolli is a registered physician assistant-certified proudly serving the Austin, TX community. She graduated from Beijing Medical University and attended a residency program in China. Following the completion of her studies, Ying came to the United States as a visiting scholar at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She was integrally involved in the Human Genome Project for 6 years. After exploring varying opportunities and interests in America, including marketing, IT, finance, and insurance, Ying found herself most passionate about her first profession — medicine. Ying moved to New York City to attend the physician assistant program at Touro College in Manhattan, where she earned her master's degree in 2008. After undergoing extensive training, she spent the next four years at Neuroscience Associates of New York, providing neurosurgery and pain management, while also serving patients on a part-time basis in a Brooklyn family medicine practice.
Ying and her husband moved to Pennsylvania in 2012. She is proud to have worked at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, PA during this time, honing her expertise in pain management and treating malignant pain occurring at the end of life. Ying then joined Performance Spine and Sports Physicians, PC, where she sharpened and expanded her interventional pain management skills over the next three years. Ying has profound experience and a wide breadth of knowledge in treating joint pain, lower back pain, neck pain, and other types of chronic pain due to neuropathic and/or inflammatory processes. Prior to settling in Austin where she moved to be closer to her family, Ying worked at Laser Spine Institute until the enterprise closed the practice.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
When she is not treating her patients, Ying enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and gardening, and eating Neapolitan pizza. She was a volleyball player in her collegiate years, but now prefers playing tennis and golf. Emphasizing quality of life for herself and for her patients, Ying's ultimate goal is to help her patients to be able to live life to the fullest. For Ying, being a part of the Tricity Pain Associates team feels like home.
